Susan creates thought provoking pieces that examine human nature and our place in the world. Her work often integrates color, texture, pattern and/or text through a collage process.

I have always loved working with fabric. I still have the Barbie clothes I created as a kid living in a small farming town in the middle of California. By the time I was a teen living in SoCal I was making my own clothes. Not long after that I got hooked on quilting and that led me to the fiber art I create today. I live in Northern California with my husband, and I have two children. You can get to know me a little more through my Instagram (@susanelaine.art).
